Join a small and highly skilled engineering team building the internally developed platform that powers one of the world’s largest animal breeding programs. After the merger between Danish Pig Genetics and Hypor, the Danish system was chosen as the future global platform because of its modern architecture and flexibility. You will be part of the team taking it forward.

The role

You will work across backend and frontend on our proprietary web and mobile solution used by breeders and genetic specialists worldwide. Tasks range from feature development to system design, data handling and cloud operations. You will also collaborate closely with domain experts to understand real-world needs and turn them into robust software.

You are not expected to know everything on day one. You should be strong in some parts of the stack, curious about the rest and enjoy working broadly in a small team with real ownership.

You will take a leading role in the engineering team, coordinating work, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring smooth collaboration across backend, frontend, and cloud areas. While you remain hands-on in development, you’ll help set priorities, support team growth, and maintain high technical standards.

Backend: Kotlin or Java on JVM, Micronaut (similar frameworks are also relevant)
Frontend: Vue, Nuxt, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
Mobile: Android with Kotlin
Database: PostgreSQL
Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD
OS: Ubuntu

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Senior Full-stack Developer who combines strong technical ability with experience leading a small team and managing people. You thrive in a collaborative and agile environment where the team builds, deploys, and maintains the full solution. You have hands-on expertise across backend and frontend, ideally within our tech stack, and a track record of taking ownership and driving delivery.

You might be strongest on the backend, the frontend, or somewhere in between — but you understand the full picture and enjoy supporting others to do their best work.
